The pub is where Gary first finds his footing in the past. It is also where he meets the love of his life, Phoebe Bamford, who works there as a barmaid. The Royal Oak is not just a pub; it's a safe haven and a symbol of the simpler, more authentic life that Gary craves. He often uses the pub as his primary base of operations in the past, a place where he can genuinely relax and be himself.

The highlight of the event will be a special Q&A session featuring the show's co-creators, Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, alongside actors Christopher Ettridge (who played Reg Deadman) and David Benson (who played Noël Coward). They will be discussing their new book, Goodnight Sweetheart: Many Happy Returns, Series 7, which picks up where the 2016 special left off.
The creators will also provide an update on their next Goodnight Sweetheart projects, giving fans an exclusive look at what's in store for the future of the series.
